1) By favorite piece in tha art musuem was tha boy(s) in the kaiaks. I think the artists name was Nunivak and crated in 1930

2) What I see in the photograph is two native american boys in the lake/river on a kaiak.

3) What I think is happening is that the boys are preparing to go out into the river/lake and explore the out door with the smile on their faces.

4) What makes me think of this is the setting, what the face expression is, and how they're getting prepare to leave.

My favorite art piece from the Marine Art Museum was "Upon Native Waters" by Edward Curtis and he took pictures of native americans. What you would find in his at work is natie americans in trditional colths, what you would see is native americans conuing, working or just posing. And what is happening in the photo is that they are just living there life or smiling at the camara. What makes me feel this way is the different photos and thing the people are doing in the photo. But some of the photos he took were not real like sometimes he would takeout suff. Leader Thao on

1) My favorite painting at the art museum was "Ariel and Tapping racing along with white cliffs" by (forgot his name but it was oil on canvas
2) What I remember about the painting was that in the background you could see clouds and cliffs at the right and the boats with huge sails are rocking in the harsh water
3) What i though happened in the piece was that the ships were being pursued by something but when i looked at the plat it said racing so i was a little right i guess
4) What I saw the made me think this was because there was a dark cloud behind the boat and i though it was a sign of evil or an bad oman ~Yer Xiong

I think that my favorite peice of art there was the one with the ship that was in the middle of the storm. I remember that there where big waves all around and there was no land to be seen. I think that the ship was tring to get to land but the waves went letting it. I saw the big waves and the ship looked like it was not going vary fast.Nikolai Fleming

The name of my favorite painting was called "Glorious Victory" by Tim Thomson. It was a painting of the "America's Cup" race in 1851. It showed the winning ship ("America") well, winning. Thomson used oil on canvas. The painting also showed another ship behind "America," that was twenty minutes behind. This painting stuck out to me because of the beautiful color technic. Thomson used pretty light colors like deep orange, and light blue. The sunset was so cool, and the water looked like you could of been right there in the painting. It was definatly a beautiful piece of work.

1. my favorite art piece was when my group where going into this blue room and on this wall was a picture of two ships racing in the ocean and it looked to real and I cannot remember who the artist was and the title.

2. what i remember about the work of art was how at a far distance the picture came along like you can see it better and when you came closer you can see the types of techniques the artist used and the picture looked like bla. ( this current information in the parenthesis goes with #1 i remember that it was a race and they had to deliver tea i think and they never did it again for a reason i forgot).

3. it was a race to deliver tea i think

4. well the staff/the person we were with telling about the art told information about the painting.

My favorite piece of art at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum was created by artist Leo Smith. The piece did not have a title, but I believe a sufficient one would be "Dream Boat". The artist carved the sculpture from bass wood, and then painted it with varying shades of acrylic paint. The sculpture depicts a ship sailing swiftly through the ocean, maybe trying to escape something due to the overwhelming provisions on the ship. Trees are growing on top off the ship, and bright colors help to make the ship appear "futuristic". All of these factors and the overall color scheme make me believe in this vivid story.

1) My favorite piece was "Sunrise" by Albert Bierstadt and it is oil on canvas.
2) I remember that the painting was of a large, glowing sun.
3) In this work of art, I think the sun was just rising, so it's still kind of dark outside, though the sun is bright.
4) I think this simply because the painting is of a sun and painting isn't extremely bright. Also, the title of the painting is "Sunrise".

The piece of art that I liked the best was Desert Rock Lighthouse. I can't remember the name, but it was oil on canvas. It was a night scene with rocks in the foreground and a lighthouse with a light in the background, but it was also the main point. I felt a calming sense when I looked at this picture, but it also felt dark and full of mystery. I could feel a ship sailing by and catching sight of the lighthouse as they glided over the open water. I saw the lighthouse, the moon, the rocks and the rippling waves.
